You’re probably wondering just who/what exactly is Intrepidly Fit since you’ve clicked on this page.

Who am I?

So, here’s my story. I am a Registered Nurse, so I guess that gives me some credibility intelligence-wise. I’ve been a nurse for about 9 years now, and I’ve worked in emergency medicine, neurosurgery, child health and nutrition, and presently in cardiology. I am also a certified Fitness Nutrition Coach (FNC) and Weight Management Specialist. I have loved the experience I’ve gained through my nursing career, but am thankful that my current job allows me the flexibility to pursue my passion for health and fitness part time. I also have a semi-obsessive love for all things coffee and donuts. I know, it doesn’t really fit the health and fitness persona, but you’ll find I preach a lifestyle of happy moderation.

Aside from the 9-5, I’ve been an avid health nut for over five years. I have competed in 3 NPC figure competitions and have learned exactly what the human body is capable of through those experiences. The gym is my second home, and I love imparting my knowledge of health/nutrition and inventive workout ideas on anyone who asks.

What is Intrepidly Fit?

In simple terms, it’s my little side hobby/passion. One day, while sitting at my desk at work I decided I wanted more out of life than just my nursing career. I needed to find a way to incorporate my passion for health and exercise into my day to day. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job as a nurse and it pays the bills, but who wouldn’t want to pursue the idea that just maybe their passion could fit into that somehow, too? And so, Intrepidly Fit was born. Since the beginning of 2016, I have been offering group fitness classes in the form of boot camps and private pop-up sessions. I also work with clients to coach them on healthy eating and help them in reaching their weight goals. HIIT FIT is my brainchild that I’ve unleashed on willing participants that encompasses high intensity interval training, resistance work, and body weight exercises to get your heart pumping and your body moving. It’s a great class for all fitness levels, from beginner to advanced.
